I love this place with all of my heart!!! But this was just too much!! I was eating with my kids!!! I cannot be seen eating this with my kids around. That's not a waffle I want my kids to be eating! I love the food but this is not ok.

Had their vegan crab cakes at a farewell brunch today. They are so delicious and perfect! Heartbroken to say goodbye to the Beer Plant, which was such an amazing vegan restaurant :(

I am sad that The Beer Plant is closing! Their Spinach & Ricotta Lasagna is the best vegan Italian dish you can find in Austin. Also really loved the Buffalo Cauliflower Wings. My friend with allergies had a custom menu drawn up for her which was very kind. We went on a very busy night after their closure was announced so it was a bit slow but good was worth it. Hope they reopen in some capacity soon!

The Beer Garden was absolutely amazing!!! I went with some friends and we all tasted a little of everything. The food was spectacular! The Spinach and Ricotta Lasagna was the best I've ever tasted, the Lentil Wellington tasted exact like beef Wellington, and the Cowboy Burger had the exact same texture as beef! The onion rings were so unique because of their sauce, which made them even better than they were originally. The peach cobbler was so good on top of it all! We also tried the Califlower Wings, and they've been on the menu for 9 years for a reason! The service was excellent, and the chef came out to meet us and made amazing recommendations. She was so nice! The ambience of the restaurant was so relaxed, and the whole experience felt like something out of a movie.

VEGAN REVIEW came here for brunch. YUM! I had the special waffle & side of bacon. hubby had the big bend sando. AMAZING flavors! generous portions. tasty cocktails. quick, friendly service. clean & modern ambiance, though a little dark (like a bar LOL)

Very delicious selection of food and vegan! The buffalo cauliflower wings were so saucy, definitely one of the best I've had in Austin. The fried mushroom sandwich was well made and tasty, but very fried and a bit on the heavy side. They must use good oils though cause I felt okay afterwards. Our only negative was that our drinks were a little too sweet, especially the highball.

The meal was great. We had our two young kids. The serving team found a spot without a reservation. The hostess made a paper swan for the boys. This is a great Tarry Town spot.

The Beer Plant is a gem of a vegan gastropub, and their breakfast menu is nothing short of spectacular. As a plant-based spot, they've mastered the art of comfort food, and their gluten-free pancakes are hands down the best I've ever had. They're perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, which is something you don't always find in gluten-free options. Paired with their delicious vegan butter and maple syrup, it's a meal that keeps me coming back. The service at The Beer Plant is always top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and they make you feel at home from the moment you walk in. It's the kind of place where you can expect great vibes and a warm atmosphere every time. If there's one area they could improve on, it's the lighting. While the ambiance is cozy, the interior could benefit from better lighting to enhance the dining experience, especially during breakfast hours. A brighter, more inviting space would really complement the fantastic food and service. Overall, The Beer Plant is a must-visit for anyone looking for amazing vegan breakfast options, and I can't recommend their gluten-free pancakes enough!

Listen, I will be the first to admit that I'm an omnivore...therefore vegetarian, much less, vegan food is typically not my first choice of dishes. My hubby does enjoy vegetarian and vegan food so he chose this place for date night. The restaurant itself is small and cozy. We went on a Thursday and we were seated immediately. I enjoyed a glass of red wine and hubby had a frozen watermelon drink that he raved about. For starters, we had the Brussels sprouts which were very well seasoned. For our entrees, we had the lasagna and the lentil Wellington. They were very different in terms of taste palette but both very savory and delicious. I enjoyed the food here a lot and even if you're not vegan, you're bound to find something you like!
